FCP 5.1 - MXF to FCP - Log and Transfer????

Hi
I have footage from a P2 that i need to bring into FCP to lower the resolution and watch performance. The instructions i got to do this were to go to the FILE>LOG AND TRANSFER> and highlight all the MXF files, and then build them into a queue.

My FCP doesn't have a Log and Transfer selection on the FILE dropdown. Just a Log and Capture. Any ideas? Help, please. Need to watch footage before wrapping location.

thanks. looking for that upgrade. however all links to that version are broken and not working. do you know of a site that has 5.1.4 available?

Well, what version do you have on what Macintosh?

Version 5.0.4 or earlier cannot update to v. 5.1.4. That was a disc swap and an inexpensive cross grade that ended two years ago.

And you need at least 5.1.4 to use on an Intel Mac.
 
thanks. yesterday the files ran great into my friends Adobe Premiere CS4 but he hasn't the time to take my entire drive to read in. so now on a PowerPC G5 and trying to get a version of premiere that will run on the PowerPC. CS4 and CS3 won't run on it. will Premiere 2 run? i can't find a MAC link for that.
