FBC on 720 25pn mode

Hallo again from Italy! I've a non question ( sorry ! ) for you! Is there a way to shoot in 25pn and remove the flash banding issue from the video? I'm shooting a concert with a lot of strobe light and i'm following a band in a summer tour. I've tried to filming in 720 25pn but the strobe lights give me the banding problem. The only way to use the compensation in the 301 series is in the 720 50p,1080 50i and 576 50i mode. I'll shoot the next performances at 720 50p.... but i want to know if is there some plugin for Premiere or AE that can remove or reduce the effect on the video, maybe a sort of after compensation! I don't know...

Weird how some of these functions only work in certain modes isn't it?!
It's the same with Pre Rec, it won't work in 1080/25P either. Presumably firmware updates will sort these things out.

Yeah, and DRS doesnt work too in 25p...

I can understand that FBC doesnt work, because FBC seemingly calculates two pictures together to avoid banding. So you would get 12 pn at 25pn espacially in strobe lights where almost every frame is a flash... I think so.
Maybe DRS works a little bit like HDR-Photography and calculates two pictures together too? It would be very interesting to know how the things work...

@ Roberto: I heard about filters to avoid flashbanding in post. But the job you described sounds like a job for a CCD-Cam.... I love my 301, but the last job that was similar to yours i used a JVC GY 700. Its a nice Cam too and the better choice for jobs like this because of the CCDs.
 
Thank you Emmet! Fortunately i don't have the progressive request from my client. We are using five 301 and so we have decided to film in 50p.I've to say that the FBC works well in this mode. But my hope was that someone have a trick or a magic tool to remove this strange MOS problem from the progressive mode!

@Steve: i've seen the firmware update 9.34 and someone tells me that it will fix this problem... but when i've seen the history i've understand that the update talks about the introduction of the FBC in the camera software ( maybe the first versions of the 301 doesn't have it! ) and in version 9.28 ( the current version of my software ) it's alredy included.... sad about that! I know that it's another thread but do you resolve your noise problem with the 371?

It seems like the noise issue is there and a known problem. Panny say they are working on a fix for it. Too late for me, I've lost interest in the 371 now.

Absolutely right! I think that in the war for the best camera,the best sensor, the best price/performance and so on, industries don't care for the consumer opinion. They don't tests products and don't take care about the beta testing. Maybe thay only have to wait a bit,testing the camera and then sell it. But seems that this is not important for all of them...
