His first works of Bad Taste, Meet the Feebles and Braindead (Dead Alive) seems miles apart from The Frighteners, The Lord of the Rings 1,2,3 and King Kong.

yeah he said he needed to make frighteners to learn how to Not balance special effects with story - so he felt like his success with Heavenly Creatures and failure with frighteners prepaired him to take on Lord of The Rings.

But John ... you left out "Forgotten Silver" it's very well done and completely different from all of the above :thumbsup:
