Madame Tutli-Putli.

I saw this last night at the opening of The Tracey Fragments, and was amazed by the use of the marionette type figures and the attention to detail. Very creative and technically proficient.

The Lunch Date because it's such a great and simple idea. No real dialogue and in black and white. It won the 1990 Short Film Palme d'Or and the 1991 Academy Award for Best Short Subject. This was Adam Davidson's directoral debut, and he's since gone on to be a very successful television director.
