I just got an iPod Touch 4G (no iphone as long as it's tied to AT&T). So, I thought, it might be fun to see what film-related apps there are out there - it can be anything, production, post, pre etc.

Here's one I've been following for awhile, and now that the iPod Touch got a camera, it can be used with it - storyboarding with cinemek.

What are your faves?

There is one out

Having finally gotten an iPhone I figured I'd run this one up the flagpole and see if anyone has any good contributions that I have missed so far.

I'm an iPhone noob. Just got the 4GS. But I like 8mm and Genius apps. :D

Put the 8mm app on XPro and fall in love.

I use Artemis Directors viewfinder which now includes just about any camera you can think of including lenses. Cinemek storyboard composer. Finally, i have panascout - has a few additions you wont come across in the others such as location co ordinates / sun rise - set times .

Oh! That reminds me of another one that's useful in a pinch: Sun Seeker. It tells you the exact position of the sun at different times throughout the day at either your current location or at a pretty wide range of other programmable locations around the globe. Useful app.

360
is a cool one as well. It lets you take create live 360-degree photos and panoramics of your surroundings. This can be especially handy when location scouting. You just take a 360-degree photo and then you can refer to it while planning out your shots when not at the location.
