Favicons

[J.R. Hudson]

I made a favicon for my blog site and insert the code myself (No big thing to the experienced coders)

Adds a personal touch !

Nice. Now give me the code! I've never been able to get mine to work.

I don't think you generally need any code. I just named an icon file favicon.ico and put it in the public_html directory, and it just worked...

Hey J

<link REL="SHORTCUT ICON" HREF="http://www.yoursite.com/images/favicon.ico">

I used a free program to make a PNG file an ICO called IrFanview

Place the code after the last set of Meta Tags but before the final </head>

The Favicon is 16 x 16 !

There it is! I *almost* had the code right -- needed to have an "images" folder. Thanks.
