FAT MONSTER FILMS presents "O2" ... Every. Breath. Counts.

Mark, you need to move to LA. There's none of that bullshi* here. Strippers are always included.

Hey Tom. I've been resisting responding but seeing you working on the '02' and ummm, speaking of strippers, I'm reminded of the good ol days of '08'. (Possibly only Tom will get that one, [still laughing at that ,hahaha.])

Oh yeah, my hair is longer than yours so don't sweat it.

I do remember that... Google to the rescue.

I hear your kicking *** on the vfx for this one. I knew you'd be good for working on this from seeing your posts in the 3d forum. Very cool.

Oh, my hair is pretty short now. I cut it last weekend to work on Jim's short film.

Mark was kind and generous enough to let me try a couple things on this one and with the direction from him and Tim I think we're gonna be okay. I'm looking forward to seeing this shoot myself.
lol, that '08' still kills me. soory, hahahaha.

Raptor is the dood, man. Seriously. The 3D work is really tight due to his chops. We are sending him half a caribou as a thankyou.

Good God! Does that mean there'll be half a caribou carcass growing ripe around the Monster Shack?

Jim Demo is taking the other half home with him. He's kept it in his car and has been using it the past two days to be able to drive in the carpool lane.

Is there space enough here for me to do a one-post, thread-jack? (I needed one more post to make my 100 minimum to vote in the DVX Festivals) OK, all done. Thanks guys. (there's no posting like drunk posting :) )

congrats on 100. no better place to do it than at Fat Monster.

in film-related conversation, are you guys gonna make it? :) cause there may or may not be a little hype around this film. I know I'm pumped to see it.

Oh yeah, we'll make it. If it wasn't for the last minute, we'd never get anything done...:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

Mark, only half a caribou? I mean, three quarters I can see, or a full caribou. But half? At least give him the head of it. I mean, it would kinda suck to get an ass of a caribou.

Dawn has arrived over Los Angeles. The swollen sanguine orb of sol casts giddy shadows from the palm fronds as I wake up on the floor of the Fat Monster production office. Somewhere around 2:00 a.m. I took a break from motion tracking only to fall into slumber with unsettling dreams of caribou carcasses playing in my head. For a brief moment I panicked as I looked at the clock and calendar. Then I got oriented and realized it is still only Saturday with the upload deadline more than 48 hours away! A veritable eon of time remains to finish the 17 remaining effects shots! Not to mention the major pickup shot we're doing at Laurel Canyon stages this morning with Matty G and the RED. I love the smell of pixels in the morning! Time to drag myself to the Coffee Bean for a latte......

Ok, we're back from the set where Tim, Matty G. and I shot a pickup scene with Todd Lowe. Man, we owe one to Murphy because somehow everything came together (fortunately Laurel Canyon Studios had 2 hours open for us to shoot - fortunately Sam's RED wasn't committed to another project - fortunately Dragon Dronet got back in town in time to let us borrow one of our costumes). So now we're coming down the home stretch finishing effects here in L.A., in Nebraska (Nathaniel Caauwe: RotoNinja) and in Canada (Gord Taylor 3D God) while Justin Durban and Brad Semenoff finish the score/sound mix respectfully. We hope Murphy stays away for one more day and we'll do the unthinkable (upload before Monday gets here).
