GH2 Fast zoom? (other than the 14-140)

I have the 14-140 and the 20mm pancake lens. I absolutely adore the 20mm. Just plain gorgeous! However, I love my zoom too. The only problem being that the 14-140 is the slowest lens I have ever worked with in my life. Can you all suggest a faster zoom?

Additionally, we have a bunch of nice EOS glass lying around from my wife's first Canon 5D EOS (NOT mkii). Please suggest a good adapter for that glass as I have yet to get a straight forward response on that!

Thank you all in advance for your help. Love my hacked GH2s..

Canon EF lenses are a problem because the aperture is electronically controlled, and currently the only adapter on the market that lets you set the EF lens aperture is over $500.

RedRock Micro Live Lens MFT Adapter

Panasonic has new 12-35mm and 35-100mm lenses in the works, that might just be the lenses we've all been waiting for. ( won't be cheap, expect each lens to be in the $1,000 - 1,500 price range )

Otherwise, for a fairly low cost solution ( under $500 for the lens ), the Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 ( non-stabilized ) zoom lens with a Nikon G mount M4/3 adapter seems to be one of the few solutions available.

The only problem with that is you lose IS. If you need a low aperture zoom though it might be one of your better options.

If you look at four-thirds lenses, there are a few. I have the Olympus Zuiko 2.8-3.5 14-54mm. The optics are great and even has autofocus though it's not very fast. Get the Mark II version if you want rounded aperture blades (better bokeh in my opinion).

If you can find one, try the Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 for four thirds. They show up every once in a while on eBay . With the DMW-MA1 adapter, you'll have a zoom lens with autofocus, autoexposure and constant aperture.
