FAST SDHC Memory for the EX1

Yeah yeah I know, I've handled a few cameras... but maybe the EX1 had circuits exposed on that area (in fact, it IS designed with a CLOSING door mechanism, isnt' it?), never hurts to check.

Hey did you guys see over that other forum the EX-30 desk supported KxS as well!

That makes for a great option for KxS and recording from other HD-SDI cameras. The deck isn't cheap but with KxS at least you only get stung once, not over and over with buying media.

I have been extremely unhappy. Very poorly run, horrible customer service. I got an RMA and returned the items (card readers that do not work with EX-1) asking for a refund or credit, then a month later they sent the same items to me again, and hit my credit card a second time (now I've paid twice and have nothing). I spent an hour on the phone with their Indian customer service rep. He said refuse FedEx delivery and they'll straighten it out when they get it back. We'll see. They're STILL hitting my credit card.

Google "buy.com problem" or "buy.com ripoff"

I have bought dozens of things from them (lately, more than from Newegg), and had not a single problem in terms of quality, delivery, etc.. In fact, I am waiting to receive a Sandisk card ($49.99) and 1 TB external Fantom HDD drive ($99.99 after rebate). The 1st KxS combo was perfectly fine.

Never needed to contact them for RMA's, and hence, don't know how the (phone) customer service is. However, I've sent a few e-mails asking about delivery, etc., and they have been very prompt, and have given me the right answers.

Newegg's shipping charges are going up and up. Buy.Com has more free shipping than Newegg, at least in my experience. Newegg's customer service has been the best, like B&H's. I had very good experience with Adorama also.
 
Hallo,scuse my for my broken eanglish..today test EX1 with KENSINGTON + 16GBTRANSCEND C6,test 1080 HQ/25p... 720HQ/50P no problem..work ok.
 
congratulations and enjoy! (just don't try to shave the Transcend, they have chips all the way to the back).
 
WARNING: Do not try the shaving trick on your Sandisk Ultra II 16GB 15MbBps card unless you can see those markings on the back of the card.

My cards do not have them and I started sanding the end of the card back, very slowly! I only got 0.9mm in and I could see the start of the circuit board and the side edge of the solder dots of the flash chip!

Luckily, because I took it so slowely, I stopped in time. No damage done but the inside is visible. A bit of Araldite on the end should secure that back up and this card can become my D90 card.
 
I've been searching for one of these Kensington card readers, but it seems like it's discontinued or sold out everywhere. Does anyone know of any good places to purchase?

It seems like these cards appear in waves, at the moment there is a lull but suddenly a heap appear, then they all get bought up and so on and so forth.

I find it interesting however that B&H havn't had stock for some time even while all these smaller places seem to get 5-10 card batchs... Maybe B&H just have that many backorders they never appear 'in stock'.

There were another 5 avaliable from another vendor a few hours ago but they appear to be sold now.
 
Or in my case.. ordered a couple of Kensington's last week from Amazon. While Amazon said out of stock and would notify (often meaning long waits), cards shipped within 2 days.
 
Since they have run out of Kesington adapters. Does the Sandisk SDAD109A11 Digital Media Memory Card to Express Slot Adapter work just as good?
