I'm looking to put together a PC for a series of jobs I have to do. I"m a Mac guy, but the client wants to stream the live brodcast through windows media encoder. I"m also hoping to be able to use it to offload P2 footage and/or firewire to the comptuer.
I like the dual core laptops but they are really expensive. I'd appreciate any info on components, websites, reviews... suggestions and all that jazz. I want something robust and fast and dependable. I need something in a portable case preferably with handles.
Fastest dual core/64 bit processor. 2 gigs RAM. 7200 speed drives or faster. Fastest/ near fastest video card. DVD-R single/dual burner, Fast motherboard with ports for PCI, Svideo, Fast firewire card, DVD and VGA out.
Thanks and I'll let you all know how my streaming tests run and hopefully when the HVX comes in.. I'll have some HD to stream live as well. I"m hoping to get a fast connection and do some live HD events.
