Fast and secure SSD offloading in the field?

I know this has been discussed a bit on this forum but couldn't find the threads.

I'm off to Barbados in 2 weeks, filming over a week. I was wondering what secure/reliable and fast offload solutions people use in the field? I only have 2 x 256GB SSD's, so may need to get another 512GB although I'm probably only going to be filming 4K2HD (maybe a little HFR). I can offload each night which should be OK.

I think I'll be using a CRC checking copy utility and maybe storing a copy on the laptop HDD and external drive as a backup.

Any other thoughts or better ways to do this?

Thanks,

Paul.

Thanks - good point. I've not had any problems so far with longer clips and most of my interview clips will probably be 5-6-7 + minutes long. BUT I'm not sure I've used the CD clip transfer tool, I probably just stitched them manually in Premiere.

Do you think the transfer tool is actually damaging the copied clip (irreversably)? Important to know if it is and transfering out in the field with limited time to test before formatting the SSD.

Maybe the best bet is to use a CRC copy to make a full backup of the CLIPS folder and then when back home do the clip transfer using the CD tool?

Anyone got thoughts on which type of USB Interface and also hard drives to use? I've been reading up on UAS (USB attached SCSI) which is meant to be a lot faster provided every part in the chain is UAS capable. Anyone tried this?
