Anyone used it? I'm looking for beams of light in a small room with sunlight through the window.

No place to rent a haze machine and I'm nearly broke paying for a camera crane.

Thanks

I've used it (or a similar product) for still shoots.

Works OK, but dissipates pretty fast, and it'll leave a sort of soapy wet film on stuff if you spray enough of it to settle.

a fogger heats up mineral oil until it smokes.

smoke in an enclosed space is never safe, ventilate between takes

Yes smoke can suffocate. If your looking at a smoke which will hang in the air and almost not dissipate. Try this. Take Liquid paraffin. Sold in small bottles at medical stores. Then pour it into a hot pan. ........

If your looking for further instructions. There arent any. Thats it. You will get thick clouds of smoke with are odourless (at least as far as we have used them on stage shows etc) youd be amazed at how thick the smoke ensues and how long it will just hang in the air. Hell it takes several minutes to clear outdoors. A very small quantity on your pan and u should have a mist that will take at least 1 hr to completely clear indoors.

Yes you light them, thats how smoke cookies work. But i think you can also buy pyro detonator plugs (also known as glo-plugs) they work as remote igniters. These are used on major live shows etc by pyrotechnics experts to cause fireworks to go off. Maybe if you want the smoke to start at a particular point in time and cant have people there to operate or light it. You get a small filament plug and you insert it into the cookie. The plug has its wire terminals running all the way off FOV into battery power as prescribed with the plug. Close the switch or circuit. Power passes thru. Glo-plug turns red hot and ignites the cookie or whatever. KABOOM....and your in someone elses garden...lol.
