I no longer need this since I replaced it with the Manfrotto 504 Fluid Head. I purchased this set up less than 3 months ago after reading some great reviews from cheesycam and vimeo. It's definitely a well built head and very smooth. I've attached my slider to it with no problems. And if any of you are curious, this is not compatible with the Manfrotto 501 plates.
