Family Receipes

I know this question has been asked before, but I have not found many examples. What are some of your steups for scene files on a 100A. I have only had the camera a month and have been playing around, but I was wondering what the guru's on this site might have to offer. I am also looking for a 60i setup as well. Thanks for your help in advance, and I promise only to use this info for good never for evil.

I am completely disappointed :(

Re: Family Receipes

Well there is no one size fits all type of recipe since every shootig situation and desired look and feel could prompt a different setting. The thing to do is start of with a known set of parameters that will give you an expected result. From there start deviating one of the settings at a time and see what effect it has on the image. Do this on the 4 basic situations such as INT: DAY, INT: NIGHT, EXT: DAY, EXT: NIGHT and take good notes. Run those settings with differnet exposures and take more notes. ONce you have a feel for what the camera can provide, you can use it to the best of its capabilities suppriting you with the ligting, composition, moves, to the best of your capabilities.

I've said this many times on this forum: my family recipe is this: What I think looks good in the viewfinder :D

Re: Family Receipes

Roger Macie of Macie Video has a uniform setting for Sony and Ikegami professional cameras called the Macie Standard. A part from minor tweeks it is a all round setup. I was hoping there was a simular thing for the DVX. I know their is no perfect setting but I was looking for some ground work. I will be bringing the camera to Roger next week for him to look at.
