Family Business, two seasons so far, with decent IMDB ratings 7.4 ATM.
After such a good experience with Call My Agent! I saw that some of the same actors were involved in this series, and so I decided to give it a try despite serious misgivings - the premise seemed lame, and a comedy is always a very big risk.
I lasted less than half of the first episode. No laughs, not even a smile, a death sentence for a comedy. No engaging characters that I could discern, the scenes and setups were super clumsy and lacking in any skill. And worse, it was very, very VERY broad “comedy”, of the type where a character is eating at a cafe and when he sees someone unexpected in the distance he so completely loses it that his bowl literally flies into the air and he makes a giant mess. Stuff like that wasn’t funny back in 1910 at the dawn of 2 minute reels, and it’s even less funny today. That was the moment I turned it off in disgust. Not wasting time on this sh|t.
Unless you like really clumsy broad comedy, I would recommend you not waste your time on this dreck. All IMHO, and YMMV.
