SHORT: False perception

Hello,

False Perception is our first short film, and it was completed back in January. It was a great experience working on our first project, and it was based around a subject that required quite a bit of research and refinement in the script.

False Perception is a short film about a psychiatrist describing the story of his patient, and how through events he has succumb to a condition.

Please feel free to check out False Perception in the link below and provide any feedback, whether this is positive or negative feedback it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking your time to watch the short film if you do.

That was a very compelling film. I really liked the musical piece chosen along with the perspective choice of having the psychiatrist act as narrator by voicing his thoughts. Really good for a first short film. My only actual issues is the audio(but the film is interesting enough for me to look passed it ;-) ) and the cut to black at the very end with the credits immediately following the cut. Maybe the walk to the doc's office coulda been slightly longer for more of a build-up? Those are just my thoughts and I can't wait to read what others have in mind aswell. Again, very good film.

First of all thank you for the kind words about the short film, I very much appreciate this. I am glad you have praised using the psychiatrist as the narrator, as that was a choice that was added into the script just before production began, and I'm glad to know you liked that aspect. I completely agree with the audio and again it is something that we hope to improve in future productions. The reason for this cut at the end is because we mixed two different shots together, the voice-over clip and the actual footage. If we hadn't of cut it when we did there was further problems with the audio, but I agree it was too sudden. As for the final scene we filmed it in the college we attend, so we had to cut it down to the amount we did have to not show too much activity in the location. Thank you again for the kind words.

Our second short film, Simon Says, will be released late next month and we will be posting it on this site, if you are interested.
