I really enjoyed this but i do have some criticisms for you.

1 - The title, its lame, biterish and seems like your trying to just ride the coat tails of a larger franchise. I didn't think anything about the film really pointed to much to Fallout other than the fact that it takes place in a post apocalyptic type setting and the gas masks. I think you shoudl come up with your own name and have that for the title and then if you want to "market" it as a Fallout "inspired" film, it seems much better.

Anyhow, on to the actual film. I really, really like your location, good job scouting that and using it well. Your camera angles are nice, and the little camera movement you did have, worked well to give you some interesting shots, i would have liked to see slightly more, but at least you had some (which many forget to include,or jsut dont have hte equipment)

YOu did a good job of building tension in teh parts where he has to hide for second, etc...

I like your effect to, was the blood all cg? Or was some of it fake blood? How did you go about doing it?

What type of props were used? (weapons etc? )

The sound effect for the clicker things were good, it added a nice feel to it.

How long did the shoot take?

I would also love some more info about that fantastic location and the cool gear you had, good job. I am dying to something with a similar vibe.

hey jon, yeah I wasnt crazy about the title either but really its just a gimmick for more views on youtube.. we couldnt think of a name and really didnt even plan on shooting a short but we had free access to the location we shot in so we took advantage of the opportunity once again. like I said nothing in this film was planned or written out, and I agree the whole film is alittle dry we really did just play around with it. yes the blood was all cg, and the dirt hits and muzzles. 90% of all sounds were added in in post. shot on a dvx100b, my friend who did the cg effects actually won the m249 (gun) in a airsoft video contest. the location is a HUGE factory mill that was built in the ealry 1940s, my grandfather actually worked there most of his life when he was younger and coming out of world war 2. its probally one of the best locations ive seen, and it being wartorn made it all the better. but in a nutshell we didnt take awhole lot of time with the name, we only wanted to shoot something quick and easy only because we are working on a feature film with this location and many other awesome ones aswell. thanks for the criticism and if your interested heres some behind the scenes videos of our feature film being shot in this location and a very old hotel building from the same era.

That was awesome. What part of Georgia are you located? I'm in Kennesaw and would die to film somewhere like that.

Great vid regardless; some of the fan films people create are just fantastic

well they sadly they are currently in the process of demolishing it. :( even though it makes the place a hell of alot cooler with the blown up buildings and rubble everywhere. we simply called the owners of the mill and asked if there was any way we could use it for a film and his only reply was "as long as you guys be carefull and as long as we get a copy of the movie when its completed." lol I thought that was pretty cool, plus I live in a very small little town where everyone knows everyone so that may have contributed to us getting it aswell.. but we currently are close with the people and workers who work there that we have a "walk on" basis to where if we want to shoot something we just walk in and start shooting. its a cool experience coming from a guy who has always filmed movies in the backwoods :P

Ditto. I typically resort to a nice patch of acreage behind a neighborhood. At first the neighbors were iffy with ten to twelve guys running around with realistic-looking airsoft guns but I suppose they've 'warmed' up to the idea haha

ha that has always been us man :) now that we have city locations like the old hotel right on the busiest part of town we can now all walk around with military gear and gas masks on and walk around the streets of my hometown just to take a break from filming to get lunch next door :) haha we get some pretty crazy looks just because I live in a town that isnt media or art driven by anything... just a dead old town. :(
