Fall/Winter Demo Reel '09

Great work. I really enjoyed the Callahan music video as well. Is all of the footage (including "The Dive" video) shot on HVX200? If so was it all on a 200A, 200 or a mix?

Thanks Cole! It's nice to get some positive feedback. All of the footage including "The Dive" video was shot on a regular HVX200.
 
Hi, really nice, can you reveal some of the color alteration things and special texture sort of things you did? Getting great looking actors helps I think, no less compliments to the shooters!

Because of the style of music we typical do music videos for we do a lot of desaturation color grading in post production. For example, in that shot at the end of our reel of the girl with angel wings sitting in the room, the shot as a whole is pretty desaturated, and by way of vignetting all of the light is focused in the middle on the girl to make her look more angelic. The edges of the image are also darkened, and the lighting coming in from the windows was isolated and the saturation levels of the light coming in from the windows was boosted as well as made to be more yellow to create a more intense effect. There's an example of how we took a nice image and turned it into an exceptional one. Thanks for the positive feedback!
