Does anyone have tips for faking the look of a small plane interior (like a cessna)?
I know the best thing to do would just be to find a plane, and I'm working on that. But worst case scenario, does anyone have any advice for how I can fake it?
using greenscreen shouldnt be thrown out, you could always build a model of one too, that might actually be better then a real plane cause it would give you more options for angles.
i would seriously consider greenscreen + acual plane. If you know a pilot, you can probably shoot in the plane for free and maybe even get a ride from him to shoot the plates for your greenscreen.

Since you live in LA you could try contacting Air Hollywood. they have loads of plane interiors for film shooting. I'm sure this isnt a high budget project you are working on, but you never know what you might be able to get by simply contacting them.
(Disclaimer: I am in no way or form associated with Air Hollywood)
unless you're going for a rare plane try to find one, there are a gazillion small airfields in the US and everyone of them has dozens of bored old who'd love to show off their baby.
Plus just having someone under the age of 70 interested in aviation always makes them happy.
You could fake it with a printed picture of a real interior I'm sure there are any number of angles online, you could do a high quality print and then build up the print out with styrene and replicate some of the parts to make it a little more 3d.
Or chromakey, model building etc, but your easies/cheapest bet is probably to find the real deal.
