Hi I am directing a micro budget short film and were looking at shooting a piviotal scene by a lake as evening approaches. Given the HVX's low light limitations can I shoot my actors close up's and two shots earlier in the day (provided I watch for sky) and adjust in post top match the later shots. The last few shots will be shot in semi darkness to add to the characters sense of frustration with a little extra lighting, but for the important emotional scenes we need to be able to see the characters faces. Has anybody shot this type of scene before and can you give me any pointers. I have a DOP on board but am trying to figure out if I need to shoot with another camera rather than the HVX.
Any suggestions please.
