Fake Blood?

Not sure which forum this belongs on, so moderators can place this wherever it belongs...

But I was wondering if anyone knew a good recipe for fake blood. I'm sure there are different kinds, like the one that splatters against walls, or recipes that would work better on skin surfaces, clothing, etc.

I would definitely like to know of them all (if there is a difference), but mainly how to get the "dried blood" effect on light-colored clothing.

Heres the best recipe I know.....

One level teaspoon of instant coffee.
Add one teaspoon of boiling water and mix well.
Scoop any froth from the top.
Add one level teaspoon of clear corn syrup.
Add one level teaspoon of red food colouring.

Nice. Tastes ok also if needed to run from mouth.
