We're on location shooting a beach fantasy sequence for a film festival commercial when one of our actors starts...acting during a break. I'm using the 300 (I call it Fat Man -- our 200 is Little Boy) for one of its first gigs and I decide to shoot this bit straight and then the cutaways overcranked. Two months later, we finally threw the video together into a makeshift beer commercial.
I'm shooting AVC-Intra100 at 720/24P, 48 degree shutter.
Following is the fake beer commercial:
Here is the film festival spot we were actually shooting. I'm using an RNG35 v3.1 DOF adapter and Zeiss 50mm f/1.4 F-mount lens:
Plywood dolly on PVC pipe, 1x M-R 2K and 2x Arri 1K fresnels, real tears and everything except the beach and war scene was shot at night. What do you think?
