Facebook question.

This morning I was logged into my Facebook account replying to a message in the Z CAM E2 user group. All of a sudden I got this Facebook pop up stating my Facebook account has been canceled. The ZCAM E2 user group is the primary reason I am on Facebook. I have never posted any political or in appropriate material on Facebook. Has anyone else experienced this problem? How was it resolved?

That's pretty odd. Usually, you get a warning if you wrote something outside of "community standards".

The easiest thing is probably to create another account.

I think those blocks aren't for violating community/facebook guidelines. Rather, they're because FB thinks something weird might be going on with your account... Like someone's trying to use it without your authority (ie- someone might have your password).

Does the link you have provide steps for you to take to get unblocked? Steps like follow two-factor authentication, answer your security questions, or whatever?

Will try to create a new account and see if that works. I found The Z CAM E2 user group with 11K members to be very informative.

No matter what I try, whether on my iMac or iPad I always get this screen when I log in:

Oh! That looks official. I can barely read the text. DVXUser downsizes images that aren't .jpg. But I think it is the same as this:

You might search the web for the phrases in that message. Here's a post on Reddit from a few weeks ago, where several people were inexplicably locked out, like you: https://www.reddit.com/r/facebook/comments/gqb8xp/facebook_locked_my_account_without_any_reason_and/

The message says, "We received your information." After you got locked out, did you fill out something to verify your account? If so, it sounds like it is in review and that they are short-staffed.

Yes, that is the message screen I get. I have seen other posts similar mine. I read Facebook's policy on cookies. I have third party cookies disabled and tracking disabled in my Sierra browser. I wonder if this is part of the problem. I tried using Netscape and the same message appeared.

Update: I was able to create a new account using my full legal name. The account that was disabled by Facebook was an old account under my nickname. Hopefully, this solves my problem. Seems like Facebook is crosschecking names and id data against some master database(s) they have or use. Big Brother is not only in China.

Thanks a lot for this

Nothing to do with Facebook itself, but don't post ANYTHING even remotely critical about ZCam or ZCam users or they will have your head on a platter.
It's one of the few groups I've seen where the majority of users have their personal identities extremely wrapped up in a box of electronics and anything
posted that isn't a glowing endorsement of Kinson, ZCam or ZCam users is taken as a personal attack or insult to ALL ZCam owners. I've belonged to
dozens of camera and other gear groups for years and I've never experienced anything like it, it's definitely a bit cult-like. Even worse than the RED
fan boys.

When you think about it, user groups are where users and prospective buyers should be able to openly discuss the relative merits and downsides of a piece
of gear with complete transparency and openness. The personal attacks I've seen on the ZCam group for anyone who asks an innocent question about the
camera are positively bizarre and I've always thought that people who tie their human identity and self-worth to their choice of the box of electronics they bought
are kind of pathetic and extremely weird. Someone should write a scientific paper on it.

That has been my experience with that particular group.
