F55: F55 monitor options / FS700 intercuts?

Hi all -

Recently moved into video from photography land and I'm interested in setting up a monitor for my F55. I have power via a Switronix Jet Pack. What are you guys mounting on your camera these days?

Also -

Has anyone tried intercutting FS700 Slow motion with F55 shots yet?

Thanks!

Chris

For my F55 I tried a ikan D7W and I really liked the image quality, color and resolution... except during the first two days of use on a shoot it cut out several times per hour for no apparent reason. I powered it directly off the F55 hirose connector. It "may" be an issue with the voltage level on the PAG batteries I rented, I'm not sure. But the camera, monitor, BNC cable, power cable, etc.. is all brand new. I'm trying a 2nd replacement unit to see if I have the same problem. On the sony f5/f55 forums someone said this is a temporary issue until resolved by a Sony firmware update. Not sure I believe that.

In general I think Small HD or Marshall are better quality than ikan, but for the F5/F55 you are going to need a monitor with exposure tools which is why I shy'd away from Small HD. The AC7 lacks good exposure tools, basically it has something similar to zebras that will show you your highlights in a brownish color on screen. I would highly recommend using something with at least a waveform monitor.

Chris, the pro standard for on board monitors has been TV logic 5.6. That being said many have looked at the IKan and SmallHD monitors. I'm curious, what camera have you in your kit?
