Very cool. Some well deserved added mojo for F55 owners. It says "optional accessory", I wonder if that's an entirely new raw recorder?
 
Wow, that is quite unexpected. Sort of unexpected, as FS700 can have 4K120fps bursts. Wondering what they will bring to FS7 table in the future.

I expect nothing, but will buy a champagne in case something new comes out.

4K 100 fps was really nice on the FS700+O7Q. I did not use it in 4K mode though. Primarily used it to get clean, noBS slow motion in HD.
 
I'm totally excited about it. Finally that extra $13k I paid might be worth it. :beer:

Joking aside, mu thought is it will just be some $900 unlock key, since more than likely the camera can already do it hardware-wise.

Next month is 3 years since I owned the camera and although I have some gripes with Sony, this upgrade I'm really looking forward to.
 
I've asked Sony if they will go to 7:1 compression tp accommodate higher data rates, or release new cards to support the speed.

No answers yet. I suspect they will just wait until all details are released to say.
 
Nope. Nothing revealed yet about plans. I suspect that new cards will be part of the picture because back at the introduction of the F5/55-AXS-R5 a Sony engineer had said that card speed was the major bottleneck for HFR.
