F5: F5 slog3 180fps test with a yoga sequence

really nice, can you talk something about he settings, lenses? It looks fantastic!

Thanks. I went back and forth between my Nikkor 24, 35, and 85 f1.4G lenses and the camera was in Cine EI mode with the new slog3/sgamut3.cine. I set the framerate to 180fps and that was about it.

The 85mm f1.4 is my favourite lens and it is my go-to lens as much as possible. It is known as one of the top sharpest lenses in the world.

I'd been slightly underwhelmed by it lately on my D800, but on an s35-sized sensor that extra reach made me love it even more.

Like most lenses which have optimal performance and sharpness at around f4, the Nikon 85mm f1.4 can go f8/f11 before any "real" funny business.

Ah Ok... stable? I guess it works OK with the G lenses. Was this captured in XAVC? What ISO? Is this all the window or are you using some fill? I just watched it again. Beautiful. Even the noise is so wholesome. Darn.

Sorry I keep peppering you with questions. I'm just infinitely curious about the F5. I'm going to be shooting a short at the end of March with the F5 and if I get as good results, I'll be happy.

Yeah, it works pretty good with G lenses. XAVC, native 2000 ISO, all window.

Yeah, I didn't do anything special to get this image. This is pretty much the default look.

William, I have a private screening in a few weeks in Toronto if you're interested to attend... a big budget short film shot in 4k XAVC using the F55. Anyone else in the area is also welcome to attend, PM for more details.

I have a Nikon G 24mm lenses that works great with my F5. I also have several Nikon mount lenses, a Tamron 24-75mm f2.8, a Zeiss 50mm f1.4 and a Nikon 85mm f1.8 and I use them with my Canon EF mount on the F5 with a Fotodiox adapter and they work great. Personally I love having the physical aperture ring on the lens. I really haven't had any issues with any lens I've thrown at it.
