No I don't believe it will. The wet dock has circuitry to fool the F35 into thinking there is a VTR attached, also without the dock I don't think there is a way of getting the record trigger signal to the codex. That is handled via a gpio plug on the wet dock, the codex can't read the trigger signals from the sdi.
