F35 Screen test footage

Hey guys, so a few months ago I posted up a couple frame grabs from a screen test I shot to prep for a feature I was about to shoot. The feature is done and now Im moving on to my next project/client. Anyway eddavid asked if I could post better frame grabs but instead I decided to just make a quick edit of a few shots from the screen test. I didn't have the 7Q+ at that time so this test was shot using the Atomos Samurai in 10bit 422. Anyway, heres that link guys. Keep in mind these were my first screen test or any kind of testing with the camera period. So be gentle lol
....Btw, didn't denoise any shots at all

The people in this corner of dvxuser are some of the most talented and nicest filmmakers around. Also there are more vimeo staff picks here than anywhere else on the interwebs! :P

I love the grading - it looks better than my skin tones and has a beautiful feel. I am psyched on it.
Kassim what was the gamut - s gamut and what was your post grading process?

Thanks a lot eddavid ......If my memory serves me right I shot it in S-LOG, Cine-EI mode......I didn't use many nodes here but everything was based on a kodak 2393 print
 
Since I was screen testing for a feature...the grade was based on a couple grabs that the director sent me early on. He wanted a look similar to the magenta, blue's and browns from "Aint them Bodies Saints"...but he wanted the look pushed a bit further. I personal felt excited to aim for a look away from the "teal and orange" world...which I personally have no problem with either as long as its done right...But here are a few grabs the director sent me early that we had to match and push a bit further

that kodak film print is gorgeous - thanks for opening my eyes to this LUT - getting bored of the filmconvert and impulz luts

Sorry man but you are starting to sorta sound like the guys over at reduser where everything is "Oh, GOD that is SO great, I mean holy crap, I am wet just looking at this pan!" Do you not see that a little.. come on. Not everything here is the best damn thing that you ever saw.

Ok so someone had a girl stand outside and they jostled a camera around a little. The OP may very well be talented and all of that wonderful lets-all-hold-hands and sing kind of stuff but this shot and grade is no different than if my gf (if she can pick up an F35) stood there and did the same thing. wtf dudes?
 
I thought this was a test ......not sure what others expect to see but it is a test for a look ?

Which IMO it does well , framing, support, cc. , talent, is all up for discussion.....later.......right?

actually trool troll troller troll stroller, I do like the look a lot and the grade - and this isn't drooling over some CEO or president, this is another user sharing his test because I asked him too - let's see your stuff, Shoots56 - do you shoot 5600k or have you done 56 shoots or camera number 56? what is the meaning behind your name, senior member troll? since 2008 and you just came out of the woodworks for this?
