F35 Aliasing & Moire

Hey quick question...any of you guys ever experience any aliasing issues from the F35? I've ran into this issue from a few shots.

What Recorder, format both output and input, and what system are you using for playback. If I watch hyper deck footage in finder on my macbook, I get lots of aliasing and artifacts. Do you have any viewfinder detail or sharpening turned on that is getting sent to your recorder? I also get problems where the footage looks interlaced because it is PsF and certain players interpret this wrong. Any screen grabs? When I watch F35 footage properly full resolution I am always blown away by the lack of any artifacts that we are so used to seeing with CMOS cameras.

In all the F35 footage I've watched and in my own test it doesn't have any. None. I tried getting aliasing and simply "couldn't", even on a resolution test chart where every camera I tested showed aliasing including 4K red and 1DC. It's a settings/workflow issue you're having. Probably an interlacing problem of PsF. Show us a Frame Grab.

I never experienced any aliasing or moire with my F35, ever. That's on four features and numerous shorts.

I saw it on the monitor lots of times, but that was because the monitor was producing it. The full, 4:4:4 1080P picture should be totally artifact free. IT is very possible for 4:2:2 footage to have artifacts appear due to the colour sampling.

This. I've never gotten anything but extremely pristine footage in terms of aliasing and moire and honestly noise as well (even at +12db).

Would be very keen on seeing what made it alias or moire if you did in fact encounter it...

I think I figured out where the problem was coming from. In resolve's playback viewer I noticed the issue first but when I view on fullscreen in resolve the issue went away. I guess I kind of freaked out a little too fast before viewing it fullscreen...I will keep my eyes open and keep you guys posted if anything else appears but Im sure that was the issue. Thanks for all of your help though.
