F3 Recorded to SxS: Is it same format as EX1/3?

I'm curious to know if the F3, shooting to SxS, produces the same exact file format as the EX3. If it does, then I don't have to buy a new NLE to use it, is what I'm thinking.
Reason I ask, is because I recently downloaded some footage someone posted from a PMW350 and Premiere Pro CS3 couldn't recognize it, even though it was XDCam footage from SxS cards.
With the concert shoots happening more frequently now, and demand for more than four cameras, I'm contemplating whether to get another EX3 and Adaptimax or to look into the F3, which could serve other purposes as well (a friend of mine runs the Hills Film Festival and is a cinematographer).
So if there is a short clip available from F3's SxS card to download, I would like to try dropping that into Adobe Premiere CS3 and see if it accepts it.

It's definitely the exact same format and folder structure as the ex1/3, and will drop right into premiere

F3 uses XDCAM-EX, which is a defined format used by the EX1, EX3, PMW320, and PMW350 (IIRC). They do have a different format available on the PMW500, which is XDCAM-MPEG422, but the F3 doesn't offer that, it offers XDCAM-EX.

That's good news. I had downloaded a sample BPAV folder from a PMW-350 demo last year and Premiere CS3 said it was a bad file format, which is why I was concerned about the F3. Maybe it couldn't deal with the 4-channel audio track on the 350? I presume the F3 has 2 tracks of audio like the EX3?
