Hi again,
a second take on the PP settings of the F3. This counteracts the reds being orange on the F3…

Standard
Level: -4
Phase: -1
R-G: +29
R-B: +7
G-R: +8
G-B: +6
B-R: -11
B-G: +18

I try to get the best settings/look adjusting the parameters outside in daylight - where i work the most.
These Settings are not scientific - not done with a waveform monitor etc…
They solely represent the look i like - so please try them out and tell me what you think

Cheers

Someone should make a sticky with F3 picture profiles. I hope more people add their own formulas.

DSLRLOOK - A crushed 5D look, but you’re sort of stuck with the look. Cine1 makes it a little easier to work with in post. Similar to VortexA by Doug Jensen
Matrix On
F35 709 Like
Sat +14
Phase -12
R-G 0
HD Detail ON +10
Cine2
Black -13
Black Gamma-5
Low Key Sat +10

PLAN9 – A versatile slightly flat setting for grading.
Matrix off
Detail on
Level -2
Freq 0
Crisp -22
Skin Tone off
Aperture off
Gamma level 0
Cine1
Black 0
Black gamma -1

well,
something was missing... something that the vdslr have and the f3 hasn't.... a baked in look i mean. well, today i hooked up my d7000 and looked at my profiles. something seemed wrong - not wrong, but different.... so i started all over again, tried this and that and here's the vdslr match i came up with....

PP:
Matrix
Standard
Level: -4
Phase: +2
R-G: 31
R-B: -9
G-R: -5
G-B: 8
B-R: +57
B-G: +9

!!!...this will make the reds go way too "orangeish"....!!!

so: go to multimatrix, do a region detection: select an red/orangeish region in your picture, and let the F3 detect this region
then dial in:
Axis: R
Hue: +35
Saturation: -37

i have to work with this setting to see if something goes wrong in skin tones etc, but so far i like this one...
try it out and tell me what you think!

UH,OH
Seems that these settings don't work at all....
So try them at your own risk ;-)
