What is the proper method to configure 720p 23.98 recording from a Sony F3 to a KiPro Mini?
Ideally we would love to get Pro Res files with true 23.98 frame rates. Not something requiring further conversion or processing pre-edit.
When the F3 is set to record 720p 23.98 it appears to do so natively to the SxS cards but feeds 720p 59.94 out of the HD-SDI according to what our monitor reports.
Not sure of this as the menu settings for the HD-SDI output sometimes displays an grayed option for the addition of pull down but that really seems more applicable for 1080p based material.
Anyone know for sure what it is coming out of the F3 in 720p 23.98 mode?
It does not appear to have that 720p 59.94 look of hyper clear motion. It does seem to feel like 23.98p. I would think the monitor is not capable of pulling out flagged frames.
Also any issues with triggering remote recording with the F3 and Ki Pro Mini?
This is a rental Ki Pro Mini. Not entirely sure of the firmware on it or if I will be able to upgrade it.
