The producer of "THE AWAKENED" a movie I directed, DPed and edited will have it shown this saturday to the investors, actors and crew. It will be shown from a BD DVD out of a 1080 projector used for the commercials before the movie starts.
We did a test today and the projector is not tuned, it is too bright for the theater, it is not able to reproduce blacks, and it has a very low contrast ratio. Even with all these problems the image after skin softening on post is still crisp.
The F3 holds up very good even when not shown at its best. I'll post some clips once I get the approval from the producers.
