F3 and Ninja, 10bit HDMI?

I'm sure this has been answered definitively somewhere, but I've been searching forums and found conflicting answers. Has anyone tested a saw pattern out of the F3's HDMI to determine conclusively whether it's 8bit or 10bit?

With the cost of power sources and media on the ki pro mini, I would very much like to swap it out for a Ninja, but only if it's 10bit...

sony rep officially declared the hdmi 8 bit, people can test if they want. doubt the sony rep was wrong or lied.

From Sony's product pdf under the resources tab on the FS100's page:

"When shooting, the NEX-FS100U provides HDMI 4:2:2 or RGB 4:4:4 uncompressed output with an embedded SMPTE Time code and embedded 2-3 pull-down markers for recording on external disc recorders."

Confusing huh? 8 bit RGB 4:4:4 is a pretty strange duck. Do we know for sure this is not 10bit? Does this cam have 4:4:4 output? If not this document is wrong.

Just because the FS100 has something (4.4.4 HDMI has been noted in several sources) doesn't mean the F3 has it. The sensor is the same but the entire internal data processing line is different.
