F&V F3 hd-sdi 7" monitor

Hi all,
Has anyone tried one of these yet? I am thinking of getting one but there is not one user report on the net that I can find. I am particularly interested in how the peaking function performs.

I just received and sent it back. no 1080p and was defective (blinking screen). Also had immediate TC burn on the screen.
First experience buying F&V, not happy. The DP4 I have is solid, but it sucks at resolving Reds and it drives me crazy.
SHD knows of the problem and has no solution. sigh...


BTW. peaking on the F3 was fine
 
Thanks so much John, I really wanted a monitor with HD SDI and the F3 was priced OK. However , from your experience it doesn't sound like a good bet now! thanks for the feedback. By the way here is a copy of some info F&V gave me regarding output modes:

The F3 Monitor supports the following video signals: 1080i/p 50/60HZ

The F3 Monitor does NOT support the following video signals: 1080p 24/25/29.7HZ

You will need to check the documentation of your camera to see what video signal it can output.

1) Yes that type of cable should work. But please note that the cable needs to have BNC connectors, not threaded connectors.

2) The camera will display whatever the camera is capable of outputting. Some cameras send out only the video signal, and others send out overlays such as waveforms.

so , I think it is time to look elesewhere. Thanks for the help.
