Hi. I just got a used GH4 and have been testing it. With my GH3 when I put my eye to the viewfinder the image on the flip out LCD is turned off and the one in the viewfinder turns on. This is not hopening and is VERY anoying;(. I have tried doing a reset but no joy.

What settings do I need to check to make this hapen.

The "Fn5" button located to the left of the EVF is used to control whether the EVF, or LCD, is active. It's also labeled "LVF".

May take a few presses but one of it's settings allows automatically switching between the EVF, & LCD, via the "Eye Sensor".

If you use "Fn5" for another function this behavior can be controlled via the menus. Go to page #8 of the "Custom" menu, & select "Eye Sensor".

I know about Fn5, it is the automaic switching between viewfinder/monitor I am talking about.

From P48 or the manual

Using the eye sensor to switch between the Monitor and Viewfinder
Automatic viewfinder/monitor switching enables the eye sensor to switch the display to the
viewfinder automatically when you bring your eye or an object near it.
•[LVF MON auto] will be displayed for a few seconds after you have enabled automatic
viewfinder/monitor switching or performed certain other operations.
•Eye sensor might not work properly depending on the shape of your eyeglasses, the way you hold the camera, or bright light shining around the eyepiece. In that case, press [LVF] to switch the display.
•During motion picture playback or a slide show, the camera does not automatically switch the display to the Viewfinder with the eye sensor.
•You can set the eye sensor sensitivity in [Eye Sensor] in the [Custom] menu. (P313)
•When the viewfinder surface becomes dirty, remove the eyecup, blow away the dust with a blower (commercially available), and wipe the surface lightly with a dry, soft cloth.

This does not seem to work on my camera;(.
