GH3 eye sensor anomaly

I was wearing a reflective safety vest on a shoot and noticed that my flipped out LCD kept shutting off as if I was using the EVF and the eye sensor had been triggered. But.. when I stood to the side my LCD would come back on. My question is....would a reflective vest trigger the eye sensor to switch on the EVF ??

You have 3 sensitivity levels on the auto switching function. Try the other two.
