Love using the view finder more than the swivel LCD - Anyone know if there is an eye cup that would fit the GH1? Thanks.

Eye cup for GH1?

.. if you find one let me know... i've been waiting long time for a real eye cup for GH1... i shoot a lot outdoors in strong sun and stock eyecup is just rubbish.. you can't even call that thing an eyecup.. it's so useless i even managed to scratch the evf outer glass... don't know how...

If i recall PappaArts used an eye cup from an old JVC camcorder.

Looks like it is down.
It basically suggested replacing the stock rubber eyecup with a slightly modified one of these http://www.hoodmanusa.com/prodinfo.asp?number=H-EYEN22S
...and gluing it to the original plastic eyecup holder. A rather permanent solution but it looks and works well.

My only problem with some of those links is I bought a GH1 at panny's facebook sale because it's so cheap and part of my indie/DIY/broke as F*** credo is to spend as little money as possible. I paid the same for a GH1 and 4 adapters and 6 used lenses off ebay for the cost of a T2i body only, so spending the cash for some of those eye loops is too rich for my blood, even at $20 for a universal.
I do want something since I have unnaturally long eye lashes and if I press the camera to my face if feels like I'm smearing hair oils on the glass and I'm bluring the eye piece. I'll probably buy a cheapie off ebay and try to do a diy.

I'm trying to adapt an old XL1s eyecup outside of original eyecup, because other options moves away too much EVF and crops vision, so you couldn't view entire EVF. I believe my only problem is to cover entire eye from exterior light sources.
