Extremely close to getting an F35, just one last concern with audio

Has anyone ever recorded reference audio in some way via a recorder? Like if I have cheap little mic living on camera and connected somehow to a recorder, it would be useful for syncing in post. If I have to go the timecode route with an audio recorder that does timecode, so be it, but it would be pretty darn helpful to somehow keep a small mic permanently going to XLR on the IF box or into a recorder... something?

If you get a PIX240 recorder for 4:4:4 10-bit ProRes recording, you get a wicked set of Sound Devices preamps along with it.

That combo worked a treat for me with my F3.

In my mind, the pix 240 is the ultimate recorder for the F35 right now. I know many users have migrated to the 7Q, but pix has 12bit, great audio and a nice quality screen.

It's also a smaller form factor, as well.
Not exactly lighter, but smaller overall footprint.

And probably the best false colour monitoring on the market - makes it virtually impossible to fluff your exposure!
