Extreme Zoom Noise/Rattle/Pur

I was playing around my HVX yesterday and zoomed in as far as a I could on a picture on a wall. When I reached 55 and let it sit for a second, I heard a rattle sound from the zoom area. I put my ear against it and it was very loud. The noise was present after I zoomed, not during. It sounds very similar to a cat puring loudly. You can hear it occasionally while using the viewfinder, though most of the time you have to move your head in front of the viewfinder to hear it. I turned up the gain on the mics and it is definitely loud enough to be recorded at just over the 12:00 gain position.

I have read that the zoom can be noisy when using it at full speed. I know this is not the same noise. Also, the same noise is present if I turn off auto zoom and use manual. Once I get close to 55, the noise shows up. It it not a constant noise, but is audible at least every few minutes. It is not present when I am zoomed all the way out. If I back off 55 when the noise is present, it goes away. I hardly have to move the zoom at all.

I originally thought that disengaging the auto focus did not do anything, but I just tried it again and the noise stopped! So that was a little frustrating, but at least I know what the problem is now. However, the auto focus seems quite noisy. Is this how all HVXs are? Can anyone else pickup the sound of the auto focus with the internal mic?
