THE SWEETEST LAND
Beyond the bloodshed and bullets, in urban America, there are communities where unprecedented courage resides, extraordinary families are tested and an ongoing fight for equality is unheard...until now.
This unofficial trailer was created early into filming and does NOT yet represent the story structure. It is released at this early stage to introduce the participants/style and to develop collaborative initiatives for social action and improvement. It will begin testing in 4 months.
It was filmed with an HVX200, a Sony EX-1 and a Canon 5D
Having filmed for three years and documenting an ongoing cycle of young preventable deaths in urban America, along with an incredible human/fiscal toll, the need for policy improvement, systemic change and competent engagement is great. The will to do so however remains questionable.
The findings over these three years however, are quite surprising. I look forward to your feedback and sharing additional work with you.
Note: unfortunately, this was posted in the wrong thread about 2 weeks ago. It has been an extraordinary honor to preserve such moments.
Do let me know your thoughts and thank you very much
