loupe sony.jpgI was looking for a lcd screen loupe for the DVX200. I have a loupe on my older FS100 and I love it.

I wear glasses and also wear other glasses for watching computer. Even the big 4.3" LCD is difficult to see for my normal glasses.

So looking for a similar loupe from sony to attach on my panasonic...

The loupes like the ones that come with the FS100 or FS7 or XC10/15 (Canon) are specifically designed for the cameras by the companies that make them.

You can of course try to adapt any of them by modifying them (like a used one from the FS100 if you like that one), but because the DVX100 has an unusual and rare screen size of 4.3", none of them will fit.

Your best bet is to maybe try adapting the 5" one made for the Pockets (rigging it securely and cutting the light off the sides, if possible). The 5" one was only made because the Pockets are the most popular cameras in the world...otherwise you would rarely see a 5" loupe readily available for sale besides from some random people making them on a made-to-order basis.

If the screen was smaller, you would have more options. (Or maybe someone makes at least a 4" one that would come even closer.)

The EVF doesn't work well?

thx for the pocket tip screen but thas not what I'm looking for. Like you said it is specifically designed for the sony.
Tested today the EVF from the dvx200 but I can't see the whole screen at once even with the sun it's too difficult. When switching to the sony it was so easy with big lcd loupe.

Even a side by side test from the footage was very close. 4K vs the old 1080p from the FS100 (sel18200P F3.5 - 6.3) And indoors a slight edge for the sony again for less noise.

The dvx200 matches very good with my GH5S but other than that It was not a big upgrade for picture quality and easy of use.

IMO, you see very little IQ increases with the fixed-lens cameras from year-to-year (and that one is from 2015).

I rendered to 4K file to watch on my QLED TV. So the FS100 footage was upscaled. Will test this further. Abou the viewfinder in the DVX200. For inside it's ok but outside with the sun it's very difficult. Mostly i shoot indoors.
