I have a GH2 that I hope to shoot short films on (and some photography), but I'd like an external sound recorder. I was looking at the H4n Zoom, but have read that it has a lot of background noise, and even with the XLR inputs, it still records through the two top mics at the same time.
Has anyone had experience with the H4n, and is it any good? Can it do decent sound for screenings, festivals etc? Any suggestions for a reasonably inexpensive external sound recorder?
