External Recorder for GH4

I've been researching external recorders for the GH4. So far it looks like the only one that can record 4k is the KiPro. Some other manufacturers claim to record 4k, but when I go to their websites, the specs only show 1080p.
Any info out there?
 
Currently the KiPro Quad will record from the GH4, but only with use of the YAGH base. Soon the Odyssey7Q will record in 4K from the GH4 as well. These are the only current options, short of using four HD recorders ganged together.
 
NAB is coming soon, I believe we will find out that Atomos made a solution to record 4k 10bit 422 over HDMI.
 
Thanks Mitch, I saw that. But I was assuming that the price would change when it became capable of recording 4k.
The way I read it, it is only 1080p capable at this point. Unless I read it wrong.
 
I don't know how I missed the initial post but Mitch mentioned in an FS700 Odyssey 7Q thread there will be "an upgrade path" to be able to record 4K via an HDMI connection. No date or details exist for that upgrade path yet.

The Atomos will cost less than the 7Q, has a higher resolution screen and doesen't require proprietary memory storage

The 7Q is more powerful than the Atomos and has more features. There is the added benefit that the 7Q has been in use for longer in the field and will therefore be more battle tested than when the Atomos first gets released. There are also more third party add-on for the 7Q as a result of being in production longer.

Either way it will be great to have more than one option for the GH4
