I'm currently at a loss of the settings I need to play back my footage on an external monitor. I have the monitor connected to my Macbook Pro using my mini dv camcorder through firewire.
The footage I'm editing was recorded with a Panasonic ag-hmc150 and has been converted into ProRes. Every time I set up the video and audio settings for Apple ProRes it doesn't allow me to preview it on my monitor. When I try to play back the footage I press play and the image shows up on the monitor but it doesn't play, all i hear is the audio, while the still image remains on the screen. When I hit stop the image jumps to the point in the video where I pressed stop.
Does anyone know the setting that will give me a good quality and allow me to view the footage on my monitor through the firewire.
