I guess I'm spoiled by the "Magic Zoom" feature of Magic Lantern on Canon cameras- I'm finding it very hard to pull accurate focus on the GH1/2 LCD (both internal and external).
I'm thinking about getting a cheap external monitor to make this easier, but I'm realizing now that unless its a very big monitor at full 1080HD, I'm not going to have as accurate a focus as the live zoom window I'm used to with Canon.
Then it occurred to me- surely I'm not the only one who would find this feature useful. Wasn't there a feature on old DVD players to zoom in and play the video at 2x with the edges cropped out? Is there a relatively inexpensive LCD monitor that will zoom to 100% so I can see the pixels while recording?
I feel like such a thing must exist and I just don't know about it!
