External Monitor Confusion.

OK,
With all the discussion and new information about using an external monitor, I have become confused about 1 thing -
When shooting in SQUEEZE mode - will the external monitor show the squeezed image OR will the monitor display it correctly if you set it to 16:9 display?

If the monitor is 4:3/16:9 switchable, it will be able to display SQUEEZE footage properly. SQUEEZE is pure 16:9 DV, the same as you'd get out of an XL2 or other widescreen capable camera.
 
yes the monitor will display the image correctly. (if it's 16:9)

btw, if you have the dvx100b, you can correct the lcd to display the right image. (which I've never done, so good luck)
