External Mic Bracket

Hey guys,

Anyone know where I can purchase the original external Mic bracket that comes with the DVX100A ? When I purchased my DVX it came with a bracket but it's not the correct bracket. I've searched the internet but can't find one anywhere. Of course it would probably help if I knew what it was actually called or had a part number or something that might point me in the right direction.

It probably came with the right bract but perhaps you lost one of the two pieces. There is an armature piece and then the bracket itself. If you send an email to panasonic at pbtscservice@us.panasonic.com and ask for the part number they should be able to help you id the parts you need and then you can purchase from parts.

Hi,
I'Ve got a spare mic mount from my Andromeda DVX. Never used it, because we usually record the sound to an external device. I could give it to you for small money, as I don't need it, but shipping to the US would be a bit pricy as I live in Germany...Let me know if you're interested.

Hey Manfred,

Thanks so much for the kind offer.. I really appreciate it.. However, now that Jan has given me an email address to the folks at Panasonic let me first see if I can get them to send me one. After all, they're just a little bit closer to me than you are in Germany. :)

Below is the email I received from Panasonic with part number info.. I called them this morning and they don't have them in stock, will have to order from Japan, will take a week to get. Price is $28.00 + shipping... Gold plated I think. :)

There are 2 parts to the MIC holder assembly.

One is the MIC Holder Adaptor which attaches to the camera.
This is part number VYC0890.

The other is the MIC Holder Clamp which holds the microphone and attaches to the MIC holder assy.
This is part number VYC0870.

These items may be purchased from the Panasonic Parts Center at 800-334-4881.
