External HD's for AVCHD footage storage?

What are the most reliable External HD's that you guys find most reliable? I want to put backups of my footage onto?

In the past, I had put all my MOV files on the WD hard-drive's (the thin black ones) for when I needed a backup for my Canon EOS 1D Mark IV footage. No problems ever with them.

Are there specific hard-drives that are most reliable? I just want two hard-drives to put the files onto incase my SD cards get lost or deleted, wet, damaged, etc. I'd put one in a case and leave one at the office.

Why not just Raid 0 two internal storage drives

I have an external Western Digital (Live Duo) with two x 3 terabyte drives that I run in a raid 0 config. It's a completely enclosed unit with its own fan and CPU. You can run as a stand alone network drive so you can connect,upload and download any files from all of your computers in your office or home to this hard drive, provided you have a networked computer environment. In addition to the external Western Digital drive I have a pair of internal 3tb hd's in a Raid 0 config in my editing computer. That has me pretty well covered with quite a bit of redundancy. Hope that helps
