External DVD Burner

Anybody have any recommendations on a good external DVD burner? i consistently get bad discs from my Mac. Any suggestions would be great.

Sounds like you have more issues deeper, and an external will not fix your bad burns..
more info may help to resolve you problems.

Sony, Imation, etc - I haven't noticed a consistency in terms of the brand of DVD...Upon completion of a burn, I often get an alert that says the disk cannot be verified. Usually it seems fine, but yesterday I gave the DVD to a client and it kept crashing their computers. They suggested an external burner.

Usually I burn data DVDs...
 
Sounds like you need some tuition from someone who can sort your issues out, there are many variables on DVD building/burning, media can be part of an issue, mostly i've found newbies burn at too high a bite rate, keep it under 6 and you'll be ok, you may have it at 9-10 and you'll be "Chocking " the players out..

let us know you whole workflow/set up, and we may be able to help..little info is pretty useless and time wasting all about.

It's prob the MEDIA. Try TAYIO YUDEN. Switching to these discs was the best thing I've done. Never had a bad burn since. TAYIO are manufactures of the disc.
